All About The Shrimpers-online
About Us β The Shrimpers-online
From a 2004 fan experiment to a 2026 rebirth
The Shrimpers-online was originally created in 2004 by me as both a website and a forum. It quickly grew into a cult favourite among Southend United fans for its honest match previews, cult hero tributes, banter, and real community feel.
Over time, a small group of fellow Southend fans helped run the forum side. After many years offline, the site was fully relaunched in 2026, once again driven by the same independent spirit.
Today, The Shrimpers-online is mainly run by me, with support from other dedicated Southend United fans who contribute editorial content, ideas, and feedback.
