About the Editor – The Shrimpers-online
James Sullivan (ShrimperJim)
I am a lifelong Southend United fan and the founder of The Shrimpers-online. I originally created the site in 2004 as both a website and forum because I wanted a proper fan space for the Shrimpers — honest, passionate, and full of personality.
After the original site went offline for many years, I relaunched it in 2026 to bring back that independent voice and to preserve the club’s rich history from 1920 right through to the present day.
Today I run the site day-to-day — writing match reports, building the historical archives, creating graphics, and curating content — with valuable editorial support and contributions from a small group of other dedicated Southend United fans.
