Clubhouse Rules

Whether you support Southend United or another club, you are welcome here. By registering for a Clubhouse account, you agree to follow these rules.

1. Everyone Is Welcome

The Shrimpers-online has always welcomed both home and away supporters. Friendly football banter is part of the game. Personal abuse is not.

2. Respect Other Members

Please be polite and respectful in Conversations, matchday rooms, profile content and every other Clubhouse area. Bullying, harassment, threats, hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. Debate the football, not the person.

3. Keep It Suitable for a 16+ Community

The Clubhouse is for registered members aged 16 and over, while the wider website remains available to supporters of all ages. Occasional football language may happen, but do not post targeted abuse, repeated or extreme swearing, sexual content, graphic violence, illegal material or anything intended to shock or intimidate.

4. Fair Play

Please use one genuine account and do not manipulate games, competitions, scores or predictions, exploit technical problems, or use automated tools. Tell us about any bugs so we can fix them.

5. Age and Accurate Registration

You must be aged 16 or over to register. Please use genuine information and keep your email address up to date. The team you support is optional and helps us understand our community.

6. Appropriate Identities

Usernames, avatars, profile text and signatures must be suitable for the community. Do not impersonate another person, club or organisation, or use an identity designed to abuse, provoke or mislead. Club badges and avatars identify a supporter; they do not imply that a club endorses a post.

7. Conversations and Matchday Rooms

Keep topics in the right room, use clear titles and do not deliberately disrupt discussion with repeated posts, trolling, score spoilers in unrelated topics or false claims presented as fact. Never publish another person's private information. If quoting or sharing outside material, respect copyright and provide the source where appropriate.

8. No Spam or Unauthorised Advertising

Do not post spam, scams, malicious links, repetitive promotion or advertising for products, services, tickets or unrelated websites without permission. Ticket discussion must be genuine and must not encourage unlawful resale.

9. Competitions and Games

Enjoy Clubhouse games, predictions and competitions honestly. Attempts to gain an unfair advantage may result in scores or entries being removed and accounts being suspended.

10. Reporting and Moderation

Use the forum report option for posts that may break these rules rather than starting a public argument. Automated safety checks may temporarily hold a post for review; this is not an automatic accusation or ban. Clubhouse Security can approve, edit where appropriate, move, close or remove content, issue warnings, or suspend accounts. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to permanent removal.

11. Privacy and Personal Information

Do not share email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, private messages or other personal information without permission. Public Clubhouse profiles show only the information a member has chosen to make public; account and verification details remain private.

12. New Clubhouse Features

These rules apply to current and future Clubhouse features, including wpForo-powered Conversations and matchday discussion. As features change, the rules may be updated and the latest version will always be published here.
