Journey Planning
Driving from Southend
The West Midlands is a manageable drive compared with some National League away trips, but the 12:30 kick-off means an early start. Leave a sensible buffer for the M25, motorway traffic and the final approach around Birmingham Airport.
If you plan to use the stadium car park, remember that spaces are limited and first come, first served. Arriving early will give you a better chance of getting a space.
If you do not want to rely on the limited stadium car park, Birmingham Airport Cargo / Freeport NCP is the club-recommended alternative. It is around a 15β20 minute walk from Damson Park.
The X12 also serves this area, so the bus can be useful if you would rather not walk the full distance. Check the current parking charge and any Solihull Moors matchday discount instructions before paying.
From Birmingham International / Solihull
Birmingham International is the closest practical main-line station for Damson Park, at roughly 1.5 miles from the ground.
Rather than relying on the full walk, the X12 is the useful connection to the stadium and normally runs regularly during daytime matchdays. Leave enough time for the bus, possible queues and matchday traffic.
Solihull station and town centre give supporters a much wider choice of pubs, cafΓ©s and places to eat before the match.
Damson Park is roughly 2.5 miles from the station, so it is not a short walk. The X12 or a taxi is the easier option for the final part of the journey.
About Damson Park
Damson Park is the home of Solihull Moors and is currently known as the ARMCO Arena. The ground opened in 1999 and has developed considerably over the years, with a capacity of around 5,500.
The stadium sits on Damson Parkway beside the Jaguar Land Rover site, close to Birmingham Airport and the NEC rather than in Solihull town centre. It is a fairly isolated setting, so it is worth planning where you want to eat, drink or park before setting off.
Solihull Moors were formed in 2007 following the merger of Moor Green and Solihull Borough. The club reached the National League in 2016 and has remained an established member of the division.
Away Supporters
For Southend Unitedβs visit, away supporters are being accommodated behind the goal in the Forest End, using Blocks L and M. Additional uncovered seating is available in the adjacent East Stand in Block N.
The Forest End is a covered terrace and puts travelling supporters close to the pitch, which can make for a good atmosphere when the away following gets going. Some views can be affected by the supporting pillars, so bear that in mind when choosing where to stand.
Use the block and entrance shown on your match ticket and follow the away-supporter signs when you arrive. Current ticket details and availability are kept separately in The Shrimpers-online Ticket Tracker, so ticket prices are not repeated here.
Damson Park has accessible facilities including wheelchair spaces, accessible toilets, hearing loops and a limited number of accessible parking spaces. Supporters with specific accessibility requirements should contact Solihull Moors before travelling.
Getting There
By road from Southend, the journey takes you around the M25 and towards the West Midlands. With a 12:30 kick-off, leave a generous amount of extra time for motorway traffic and the final approach around Birmingham Airport and the NEC.
For rail travel, Birmingham International is the most useful main-line station for Damson Park and is roughly 1.5 miles from the ground. The X12 bus provides the easiest onward connection and stops close to the stadium.
Solihull station is another option and is around 2.5 miles away. It can be useful if you want to spend time in Solihull town centre before the match, with the X12 or a taxi available for the final part of the journey. Check live rail and bus information before leaving.
Parking
Official stadium parking is limited. Spaces are unreserved and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is sensible if you want to park at the ground. Eight accessible spaces are provided close to the stadium entrance.
If the stadium car park is full, the club recommends Birmingham Airport Cargo / Freeport NCP at B26 3QT. It is around a 15β20 minute walk from Damson Park and is also served by the X12 bus. Check the current matchday parking charge and any club discount instructions before travelling.
Do not park on the Damson Parkway dual carriageway. It is a red route and Solihull Moors warn that illegally parked vehicles can receive parking tickets.
Food & Drink
There are several food and drink options at Damson Park on matchdays. Depending on the arrangements for the fixture, these can include the Main Bar, the Trevor Stevens Suite and the Fan Zone bar, together with food kiosks and burger vans around the ground. Access to individual bars can change when segregation is in operation.
Because the stadium is fairly isolated, supporters wanting a wider choice before the match may prefer to eat or drink in Solihull town centre and then travel to Damson Park by bus or taxi. The Damson and the Masonβs Arms are among the pubs commonly mentioned in the area, while the town centre offers a much broader selection.
Damson Park operates on a cashless basis for league fixtures, so take a suitable bank card or contactless payment method with you.
