Before, during & after Southend
Fulham striker Cauley Woodrow came to Southend on loan in September 2013 to gain regular senior experience. The young forward made nineteen League Two appearances, scoring twice, and added two memorable Football League Trophy goals in a single substitute outing.
He also appeared in the FA Cup, taking his Southend record to 21 competitive matches and four goals. Woodrow returned to Fulham in January 2014 and made his Premier League breakthrough later that season, before subsequently playing for Barnsley and Luton Town.
