Scottish midfielder Craig Easton arrived from Swindon Town in the summer of 2010 and was appointed Southend captain during a difficult period of rebuilding. He led by example in midfield, playing 38 competitive games and scoring five times in the 2010/11 campaign.
Four of his goals came in League Two and the other in the League Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers. He departed when a new contract was not agreed in summer 2011 and later signed for Dunfermline Athletic. His recorded Southend appearances were all starts.
