Goalkeeper · 2001–2003
Goalkeeper Danny Gay developed in Norwich City's academy before joining Southend in May 2001. He made his first-team debut that December and appeared eleven times for the Shrimpers before leaving in May 2003. Following a brief Boston United trial, he played for Hornchurch and then Braintree Town, later continuing a long non-League career.
