Towering centre-half Deon Woodman joined Southend on a short loan from Queens Park Rangers in March 2024, shortly after spending time at Wealdstone. A former Crystal Palace youngster, he had already gained experience at Dulwich Hamlet and brought physical presence to Kevin Maher's defence.

Woodman made five competitive appearances during his brief visit before returning to his parent club.
