Academy striker Henry Sandat broke into the Southend first team while still a teenager in November 2022. His first senior goal, a quick-fire winner against Gateshead in his first start, immediately endeared him to supporters.
Hull City signed him in summer 2023, but he returned to Roots Hall on loan in December and stayed until the end of 2023/24. His two Southend periods are kept separate in this archive, rather than treating the Hull transfer as the end of his contribution.
