Czech centre-half Jakub Sokolík made three separate visits to Southend. Liverpool loaned him to Phil Brown's side for the end of 2013/14, when he played ten League Two games and both play-off semi-final legs. He returned for a brief second loan from Yeovil Town that autumn, then signed permanently in 2016.
His final spell included five league appearances and matches in the FA Cup, League Cup and EFL Trophy. Across the three spells he made 23 senior Southend appearances without scoring, before moving to Plymouth Argyle in January 2017.
