Bournemouth central midfielder Kyle Taylor spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Southend, initially joining in September before his deal was extended in January. He played 31 League Two matches and scored once, often providing the legs and passing in midfield during a bruising season that ended in relegation. Taylor returned to Bournemouth before moving permanently to Exeter City later in 2021.
