Academy striker Norman Wabo was a prolific scorer for Southend's under-23s and made his first senior League One appearance against Scunthorpe United in December 2017. His five first-team appearances were all from the substitutes' bench, with no senior Southend goal.
He also developed his game on non-league loans, including Ebbsfleet United, Maidstone United and Braintree Town. Wabo departed Roots Hall in summer 2019 and signed for Dartford, later continuing his career across National League South clubs.
