Boston away: just three tickets left for The Shrimpers
Our 646-ticket allocation is almost gone. Another strong away following is taking shape for Saturday’s trip.
Three tickets left from an allocation of 646. After the win over Fylde, that is another encouraging number to take into the week.
Southend supporters have almost filled the away end for Boston. At the time of this update on 4 October, only three tickets were showing as available for next Saturday’s National League fixture.
Another away end ready to back us
The allocation is made up of 543 standing places and 103 seats at the Jakemans Community Stadium. Kick-off on Saturday 10 October is at 3pm.
I like seeing that backing follow the team. We have had some excellent away afternoons already this season, but the support has been there for the frustrating ones too. Eastleigh was a reminder that a good performance can still leave you travelling home thinking about the points that got away.
The Fylde victory gives us something happier to build on. Oldaker, Colclough and Goodliffe scored in the 3–1 win that kept Southend third, and we now have the chance to put two victories together.
Boston will want a response
Boston come into the week after losing 6–0 at Yeovil. They were four down at half-time and conceded twice more after the break.
That result will get our attention, but I would not treat it as Saturday’s script. A side coming home after a defeat like that has every reason to want a reaction. We still have to go there and do the work.
A full allocation would give The Shrimpers plenty of backing while they try to do just that.
Up the Shrimpers.
