Scottish striker Andy Thomson signed from Queen of the South in July 1994 and became a regular attacking option for Southend during four seasons at Roots Hall. He scored 28 times in 135 first-team matches before leaving for Oxford United in June 1998. His career figures agree with the independently recorded first-team totals.
