Before, during & after Southend
French-born Tunisian Bilel Mohsni arrived at Southend in summer 2010 from Sainte-Geneviève Sports. A tall, uncompromising defender who could also be pushed up front, he brought an unpredictable edge and, at his best, a valuable supply of goals: eighteen across his Southend spell, with thirteen league goals in 2011/12 alone.
His time was also marked by disciplinary trouble and an unsuccessful spell on loan at Ipswich Town in 2012/13. He left before the end of that season and later joined Rangers.
