Brandon Goodship joined Southend from Weymouth in summer 2019 after two prolific seasons in which he had twice won the Southern League Golden Boot. The former Bournemouth and Yeovil Town forward was stepping back into full-time League football just as the Shrimpers were entering a difficult period.
He scored six times in 60 senior appearances across two seasons, four of them in league matches. Goodship left after relegation from League Two in 2021 and returned to Weymouth, where supporters already knew his goalscoring ability.
