Goalkeeper Cameron Belford twice came to Roots Hall on loan from Bury during 2012. His first spell began in March when Southend needed cover in goal, and he helped keep six League Two clean sheets before playing both legs of the play-off semi-final against Crewe Alexandra.
He returned for a month at the start of the following season, playing another four league games and a League Cup match. In all he made twenty competitive starts for the Shrimpers before returning to Bury.
