Femi Orenuga made his one and only Southend first-team appearance at just fifteen years old, arriving as a stoppage-time substitute against Luton Town in an FA Cup victory in November 2008. The talented young player was then signed by Everton in summer 2009.

His youth-team appearances do not count towards his single senior match, which the old Hub had misleadingly recorded as zero.
