Young goalkeeper Finley Woodham came from Charlton Athletic on a two-week emergency loan in late September 2026. His job was to provide immediate depth behind the Southend first-choice goalkeeper during a busy spell of National League football.

He was named as an unused substitute before returning to Charlton in October. Because the backup lacks a match-by-match entry for his registration, the player archive does not invent a senior appearance for the short stay.
