Goalkeeper Glenn Morris signed from Leyton Orient in July 2010 to help Southend start afresh in League Two. He began the season as the regular keeper, with Rhys Evans providing competition, and continued to feature during the 2011/12 promotion push.

After two seasons at Roots Hall he moved to Aldershot Town in August 2012, later playing for Gillingham and Crawley Town.
