Young striker Harry Crawford came through Southend's youth system and made his League One debut during the difficult closing weeks of the 2009/10 season. He scored once in that campaign, then twice in the 2010/11 League Two season, predominantly appearing from the bench.

Across three seasons he featured in 34 competitive games and scored three goals, including an appearance in the Football League Trophy. After Southend he joined Dartford in August 2012, where he continued his career in non-league football.
