Barnsley winger Jordan Green joined Southend on loan at the start of the 2020/21 campaign. His spell was short, lasting only a handful of games as injuries and squad changes disrupted the club's season. He started three League Two matches and one League Cup tie, scoring no goals, before returning to his parent club in autumn 2020. Green later rebuilt his career in non-league football.
