Jamaica-born midfielder Marcus Milner came through Southend's youth set-up and made his only first-team appearance on the final day of the 2009/10 season. He replaced Stuart O'Keefe late in the 3–1 defeat at Southampton on 8 May 2010, with the club already facing relegation from League One.
Milner continued in non-league football, later appearing for Maldon & Tiptree, Wingate & Finchley and Ware. That one substitute appearance, not his youth-team matches, forms his senior Southend record.
