Mark Oxley

Goalkeeper Mark Oxley arrived from Hibernian in July 2016 and became Southend's first-choice keeper for long periods over the next five seasons. He saw the club through League One campaigns and the painful 2020/21 relegation from the Football League, producing important saves and clean sheets along the way.

Oxley made 169 first-team appearances for Southend before declining a new contract and moving to Harrogate Town in July 2021. That total is confirmed by the club's own farewell statement.
