Forward · July 2003–April 2005
Young striker Michael Husbands moved from Aston Villa to Southend in summer 2003, making sixteen senior appearances, predominantly as a substitute. After leaving in 2005, he signed for Bristol Rovers, and later played for Walsall and Port Vale. A 2004 Forest Green Rovers visit was a trial rather than a Southend departure.
