Before, during & after Southend
Irish centre-forward Barry Corr became an important goalscorer and a big character at Roots Hall after signing from Exeter City in July 2010. His 21 goals made him Southend's leading scorer in 2010/11, but a serious knee problem then kept him out for all of 2011/12.
He fought back, scoring on his September 2012 return against Exeter and going on to play a central role in the 2015 League Two play-off promotion, including a semi-final goal against Stevenage. He joined Cambridge United that summer, having scored 63 Southend goals.
