Promise Omochere joined the Shrimpers on loan from Bristol Rovers at the start of September 2026 and quickly made an impact leading the line. The Irish forward gives Southend pace, physical presence and a target for crosses, while his movement has helped open spaces for midfield runners.

He scored against Tamworth at Roots Hall in September and equalised away to Boston United in October before Southend snatched a late winner. He remained involved in the hard-fought 2–2 draw with FC Halifax Town on 24 October.
